Cancellation Policy

We know that plans change. If you need to move or cancel an appointment, please let us know as early as you can so that we can offer the time to another patient who is waiting to be seen.

 

Please give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment. There is no charge for changing an appointment when you give us 24 hours notice or more.

 

When an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, or is not attended at all, the time has usually already been reserved for you and cannot be offered to anyone else. In these cases we may charge £1 for every minute of the appointment time that was booked.

For example, a 30 minute appointment would be charged at £30, and a 60 minute appointment would be charged at £60. The charge is based on the length of the appointment you booked, not the treatment itself.

 

The quickest way to change an appointment is to call the practice on 01334 655752 during opening hours. You can also email us at reception@cupardental.co.uk. If you contact us outside opening hours, please leave a message or send an email and we will pick it up when we reopen. The 24 hours is counted from when your message reaches us.

 

We understand that sudden illness, family emergencies and other genuine emergencies happen, and we would always rather you contacted us than simply did not attend. Please speak to us and we will use our discretion. We would also rather you rearranged than cancelled, so that your treatment stays on track.

 

An empty chair is time that another patient could have used, including patients waiting for an urgent or emergency appointment. Asking for 24 hours notice helps us keep waiting times down and keep appointments available for the people who need them.
